The WaFd Globe project continued Vestis’ work supporting WaFd locations with custom aluminum canopy systems. This project required a repeat canopy solution with added electrical coordination, including a light panel and junction box designed into the canopy for later field work. Vestis also coordinated embedded knife plates that needed to arrive on site before the canopy package, helping the contractor keep installation sequencing organized.

A repeat WaFd project needed custom canopy detailing for lighting and electrical coordination
The Globe, Arizona WaFd project was a repeat of a previous WaFd build, but the canopy scope required additional coordination. Vestis needed to design canopy fabrication around integrated lighting, electrical access, and a large 37 ft canopy section while also coordinating embedded knife plates that had to be on site before the canopies.

Vestis was tasked with translating the WaFd exterior scope into clear shop drawings and a fabricated canopy package that could accept lighting components, simplify later electrical work, and support the contractor’s installation sequence.

Vestis built the light panel, junction box, large canopy section, and early knife-plate coordination into the package
Vestis designed the large canopy run, integrated a light panel into the canopy, and added a junction box so electrical work could be completed later in the field. The team also produced custom knife plate components and delivered them to the site early, allowing the contractor to prepare the building before canopy installation.
